Coronavirus Pandemic 2020

Dear Parent / Annwyl rhiant,

UPDATED 27/03/2020

Please Note: Changes to FSM Collection Points

From Monday 30th March, there are some changes to the FSM Hub collection points that impact on our children. Maesglas Primary children can now go to either John Frost School, Gaer Primary or Pillgwenlly Primary to collect their lunch on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only. This decision has been made to make the lunch more accessible in terms of travel. The lunch will consist of a choice of sandwich - cheese or ham, packaged and with full allergen info; Fruit (apple, easy peeler, grapes, melon, pineapple, as available) - as much as they want; Crisps; Biscuits; Cake; Drink . Whilst we are unable to arrange delivery to those who are self-isolating or socially distancing, affected families can make local arrangements for someone else to attend and collect on their behalf. If you are attending either The John Frost school, Gaer Primary or Pillgwenlly Primary to collect your lunch, you will be able to do so between 10am-12pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday only. Please bring a bag as one is not provided.

Spring News

Due to the current staffing levels the difficult decision has been taken to close the school from Thursday 19th March 2020. Please see here for further information. We will keep you informed through this website, our texting service and Twitter.

Our topic across the school is learning all about Wales and what a wonderful country we live in.

We celebrated St David's Day with our Eisteddfod on Friday 28 February. Many of the pupils and staff dressed up in Welsh costumes to join in the fun!
