Eisteddfod and World Book Day
The first week back after half term is an exciting week in school:
Monday 4 March - School Closed for pupils due to Inset training
Tuesday 5 March - Eisteddfod - Pupils can wear their Welsh costumes to celebrate St David's Day
Thursday 7 March - World Book Day - Pupils may dress up as characters from their favourite books!
Friday 15 March - Red Nose Day - More details soon!

Criw Cymraeg Coffee & Cake
March 5 is the date of this year's school Eisteddfod. Our Criw Cymraeg would like to invite you to a Coffee and Cake event at 2.45pm on that day. Find out what the 'Criw' have been doing in school to develop the use of Welsh, and to celebrate the winners from the Eisteddfod categories. Please come along and see what the pupils have been up to.

Operation Encompass
We are very proud to be an Operation Encompass School. This is a partnership between schools and Gwent Police aiming to enhance our existing safeguarding arrangements. For further information on Operation Encompass have a look at their website.

We're nearly half way through the school year already! All the classes are working hard and we look forward to sharing their work with you at parents evenings which will take place Monday 18, Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 February. We have Half Term between Monday 25 February and Friday 1 March, then  our annual Eisteddfod on Tuesday 5 March!

Traffic plans
Maes Ebbw are having some building work on site, and as such there will be no opportunities for parents to drive on site. The flow of traffic has been reversed. Please work with us to ensure that everyone is safe when entering the school grounds.
