Bluebell Class - Nursery - Mrs Hall

Croeso i Dosbarth Bluebell

Hello from Bluebell Nursery

Tymor y Gwanwyn / Spring Term 19

Happy New Year Everyone and welcome back!  We hope you have had a lovely, restful few weeks over Christmas!

Well it's that time of year again where we welcome our newest members of the nursery and their parents.  We hope you enjoy your time with us.

We had a brilliant, fun-filled Autumn term with lots of mini topics covered, however, I must say, my favourite was (and always is) 'Christmas ', especially the Christmas Concert!  I thought the children performed beautifully.  Well done to each and every child and thanks  to parents for the support you gave throughout.

So back to this new term...we have hit the ground running and our topic is 'Everything Changes'.  We will be looking at different areas such as the weather,  snow and ice and hatching over the next few months as well as other mini topics in between.

PE

Just to confirm that our PE day is Monday; so please dress your child in shorts/joggers and a T-shirt on that day.  Also, no earrings are permitted during PE, so please could you remove them beforehand.  If you forget, we will need to cover the earrings with micro pore or something similar.  The children will be learning to take their shoes and socks off independently during the sessions , therefore, if they come home with their socks on inside out and upside down then you know that they have completed this difficult skill themselves and we have celebrated this with them!

Fruit Money

A big 'Thank You' to all parents that contribute £1 a week. This money goes towards buying the fruit and/or toast they have on a daily basis and any ingredients that we use when 'cooking'. We will keep the 'chicken' money box and tick sheet on the table outside the Nursery door.

 Wellies
In the Nursery we go outside in all sorts of weather, therefore, it would be great if you could send in a spare pair of wellies for your child to use during wet weather.  Please can you clearly label them as they need to be left in school on their peg.

Absent from school
We celebrate many things in nursery and '100% attendance' is celebrated on a weekly basis - Look for your child's photo on the chalk board outside the Nursery door when they come in every day.  However,  if for some reason your child isn't able to  attend Nursery, it would be helpful if you could ring the school asap on 01633 816047 to let us know.

Driving on site
Just a polite reminder that there should be no driving on the school grounds for the safety of all pupils.

We appreciate your continued support – Thanks!
