Our Criw Cymraeg at Maesglas Primary were delighted to receive the 'Cymraeg Campus Bronze Award.' We have worked so hard as a whole school to develop our use of Welsh to win the award and we are really proud of our learners. 'Cymraeg Campus' is designed to promote the Welsh language, create a strong Welsh ethos in schools and propel children to enjoy the subject.
It's Criw Cymraeg's job to promote Welsh in the classroom in many ways such as greeting pupils in Welsh, collecting 'Ddraig Fynci' points, nominating Welsh 'Seren yr Wythnos' speakers of the week, playing daily games and more!
We are now working towards earning the 'Cymraeg Campus Silver Award' by embedding our use of Welsh even further across the school.
